Hoghton Tower may seem like a peaceful family attraction, but the Tower hides a darker secret.
During the summer, walkers and families enjoy seeing the ducks at Hoghton.
Little do they know that once the doors close to the public, the Hoghton ducks and pheasants are used as live targets for shooting practice.
Video footage of the Hoghton Tower shoot revealed wounded ducks twitching in agony as the shooters left them to die slowly, concerned instead with their next target rather than the suffering of the bird they had just blasted from the sky.
The League Against Cruel Sports believes that the utter callousness of duck and pheasant shooting has to be seen to be believed.
Warning some people will find the following videos disturbing, sick people will find them amusing.
Supporters of the League Against Cruel Sports are campaigning peacefully to make the public aware of the death sentence hanging over thousands of ducks and pheasants each year at Hoghton Tower.
