Sheep Worrying Shooters Blasted
Animal welfare campaigners have blasted the Hoghton Tower shoot for shooting in a field of sheep to their obvious distress. Shoot monitors claim shooters were only concerned with how many pheasants could be killed.
Brave Men at it Again
Police were called to Hoghton Tower after a shoot monitor was allegedly assaulted. The monitor was trying to photograph a few of the injured and dead birds when he was approached by several men and allegedly hit in the stomach.

Campaigners have discovered that the Hoghton Tower Shoot have used a pipe gun to scare people from investigating their gamebird killing activities. Typically a pipe gun is fitted with a shotgun cartridge and a trip wire is used to trigger the gun.
Tower Leaflet Complaint
Hoghton Tower tried having peaceful animal welfare protesters arrested under section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 for handing out a leaflet to visitors that was critical of their wildlife killing policy.
Hoghton Tower Shooter Cautioned
A private investigator from Preston has admitted to harassing a woman, and as a result has been fined £80. Anthony Gerard Fisher sent the animal welfare campaigner a string of malicious text messages.
